Patients of Voivodeship Hospital Complex in Toruń with mobile access to medical information

The Voivodeship Hospital Complex in Toruń has implemented the mobile Informacje Medyczne application developed by Asseco Poland - the largest software producer in Poland, specializing in health care systems. Thanks to the new solution, the patients will gain quick access to their medical records. In addition, they will be able to sign up for a visit at units cooperating with the hospital. The project partner was Infocomp Sp. z o.o. This is the first implementation of the Asseco Informacje Medyczne application in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship.

The Asseco Informacje Medyczne application ensures efficient exchange of medical documentation between patients and physicians and medical personnel. The solution enables remote access to information on treatment and results of examinations, without the need to visit a facility. What is important, the entire process takes place in compliance with the highest security standards for the protection of sensitive data. The application also reduces the time of a visit, as patients can submit their examination documents before they visit at a facility.

The Voivodeship Hospital in Toruń is one of the largest health care institutions in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship. Our priority is to provide patients with quick and convenient access to medical services. This is possible thanks to such applications as Informacje Medyczne developed by Asseco. The solution makes it possible for them to access the results of examinations and information cards of hospital treatment from a mobile phone. This significantly saves their time, and at the same time shortens queues, said Sylwia Sobczak, Director of the Voivodeship Hospital in Toruń.

This is the next stage of the digitization of the Voivodeship Hospital in Toruń, in which Asseco actively participates. Our flagship IT system, which supports both the medical and administrative parts - Asseco Medical Management Solutions - is already operating in the unit. We are pleased that once again we have been trusted and we can participate in the development of this facility so that it can offer its patients services at the highest level. The Informacje Medyczne application, which we have now launched, guarantees mobile access to medical records and their electronic exchange between units. This brings time saving for both users and employees of the medical unit, said Krzysztof Groyecki, Vice President of the Management Board of Asseco Poland.

Infocomp has been cooperating with Asseco for many years. Together we participate in the process of digitization of medical facilities, both large hospitals and outpatient clinics. The Voivodeship Hospital in Toruń is an example of how to use the latest technologies to create a uniform IT system for a unit that serves its patients in five different locations in Toruń. We are pleased that thanks to our joint effort and many months of work, we can now provide patients with mobile access to their medical data. I think this is a good start and I hope that soon other medical centers in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodship will follow the example of the hospital in Toruń and implement the Asseco Informacje Medyczne application. Everyone will benefit from it, and most of all the patients themselves, said Michał Maksymowicz, President of the Management Board of Infocomp Sp. z o.o.

Asseco is currently piloting the Informacje Medyczne application in selected locations, including the St. Ludwig Children's Hospital in Kraków.
