Marathon24 Final is already behind us. The team from Poland wins!
The final of the biggest Polish team programming contest Asseco Programming Marathon24 Gdynia 2013 - Powered by CodiLime ended on Sunday, December 1, 2013. ‘Precision Screwdrivers’ from Poland turned out to be the best team. Second and third place were held respectively by ‘SajchoPaczoSajgon’ and ‘Queueing’.
The grand final of Asseco Programming Marathon24 Gdynia 2013 - Powered by CodiLime ended on December 1, 2013 in the Pomeranian Science and Technology Park in Gdynia. The competition was attended by 30 teams from Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Iran, Austria, Serbia and even Japan. Contestants faced three complex problems within 24 hours, during which they competed with each other in the real time. The best turned out to be programmers from Poland: Eryk Kopczyński, Marcin Mucha and Paweł Parys, winning the grand prize of 5 000 PLN for each Participant and beating the opponents with experience on the international level.
The competition was very fierce and none of the team was certain of the victory till the very last minutes of the final. Polish Contestants proved a very high level of algorithmic skills and outdistanced programmers from Japan, Iran, Austria, Ukraine, Belarus, Russia and Serbia. Asseco Programming Marathon24 Gdynia 2013. Powered by CodiLime – a nationwide team programming contest, where all the programmers, regardless of their age, educational background or professional experience, can participate. The contest is organized jointly by Asseco Poland – the biggest Polish IT company and the 7th biggest in Europe, Gdynia – the city supporting innovations, and CodiLime – an IT company founded among others by world champions in programming and gold medallists of ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest – the most prestigious global contest in collegiate programming. The contest consists of two stages – qualifying round and the grand final. 30 best teams will be selected in online qualifications and invited to participate in the grand final, which will start on November 30, 2013 in Gdynia in Pomeranian Science and Technology Park. It will last continuously for 24 hours; within this time contestants will face three problems and will compete one another in real time. The best participants will receive prizes amounting to over 30 000 PLN.
