Asseco's Clients Named as IT Leaders

Szczecin City Hall was again awarded the title of IT Leader 2010 in the category of public administration. Whereas, Wrocław Municipal Water Supply and Sewage Company was named as IT Leader 2010 in the utilities sector.

Two clients of Asseco Poland, namely Szczecin City Hall and Wrocław Municipal Water Supply and Sewage Company, became winners in the IT Leader competition organized by Computerworld magazine. While, another of our clients RWE Poland was among the nominees. This is a great success of the above-mentioned organizations, especially that the competition is participated by the most IT networked companies and the group of winners and nominees may be considered as a true avant-garde in that respect.

Szczecin City Hall was the first municipal office in Poland to implement an integrated financial management system. The ERP class software was implemented and subsequently customized to the Office's specific needs with a lot of contribution from the Asseco Poland team, with whom Szczecin City Hall has cooperated for several years. Launched into operation in July 2010, the system includes the following modules: general ledger, financial management, register of contracts, budgeting and controlling, fixed assets, local taxes and fees, proceeds from property, human resources and payroll, EU funds management, education, data warehouse, and registers of contractors and real estate.

Wrocław Municipal Water Supply and Sewage Company was awarded, among other things, for the digitalization of data stored about streaming media. Yet it is worth remembering that this company has for many years used the solutions provided by Asseco Poland to support the key areas of its business.  Such solutions include the billing system, software for management of waterworks infrastructure, document management system as well as remote customer service application.

RWE Poland focuses on the development of IT infrastructure as part of its business strategy. This power industry company strives to improve its efficiency within billing of energy consumption and therefore it needs to implement modifications in the area of management of measurement data. The software solution provided by Asseco Poland serves as the starting point of this project.
