Asseco will take care of the PFRON systems

Asseco signed two contracts with the State Fund for Rehabilitation of the Disabled (PFRON). The first involves maintenance of the IBM Informix system, plus additional services. Informix is used as a database by, among others, NEO. Second project concerns maintenance and development of the NEO system that supports the beneficiaries of the Fund, i.e. employers who employ people with disabilities. The two projects are worth approx. PLN 3m, net of tax. Implementation will take 30 months.

Piotr Wysocki, Sales Manager at Asseco Poland: July 1 saw  5 amendments to the Act on rehabilitation enter into force, and any such change means that the underlying IT systems supporting the work of the Fund and the process of payments have to be updated.

It is a big challenge, particularly given  the short notice at which we have to introduce them. We managed to successfully carry out this process, and, as a company responsible for maintenance and development of systems, we’re prepared for future tasks of this nature. - he added.

PFRON is a special purpose fund, whose resources are spent on vocational and social rehabilitation as well as hiring of disabled people.
