Asseco signed an implementation agreement with Południowy Koncern Węglowy

Asseco Poland SA and Południowy Koncern Węglowy SA (a coal mining company of the Tauron Group) concluded an agreement for supply, implementation and support of an information system to handle coal sale processes. The contract value exceeds PLN 7 million.

The implemented system will utilize the SAP ERP software and operate on the SAP NetWeaver technological platform. Due to the teleinformation infrastructure requirements applicable in Południowy Koncern Węglowy, the solution architecture will conform to the SOA standards. It is of crucial importance bearing in mind the project’s broad functional range and the need to integrate the whole solution with other IT systems used by Południowy Koncern Węglowy. 

The project involves implementation of the functionalities necessary to ensure efficient performance of the coal distribution processes, including the processes conducted in the areas of materials management, finance, production, quality, and planning. Furthermore, the agreement provides for integration of the solution with other business function systems used by Południowy Koncern Węglowy as well as for creation of an Internet portal to support the sale of coal to customers.

The system shall be set into operation within 10 months of the commencement of implementation work. The contract also includes administrative and maintenance services that will be provided by Asseco Poland over a period of 12 months of the system launch.
