Asseco provides free IT service packages for remote contact with patients

Asseco Poland has joined the nationwide #stayathome campaign. In order to improve remote contact with patients during the pandemic, the "Patient, #stayathome" IT service packages have been developed, dedicated to both AMMS users at hospitals and mMedica used by doctor’s offices and clinics. Medical facilities will be able to use a number of functionalities free of charge until July 31, which will improve their work in this exceptional time.

Due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus, medical visits are usually limited to those that are necessary. However, this does not mean that the need for consultations is reduced; therefore, the main element of the packages is the Teleporada module developed by Asseco, which, by using audiovisual communication technology, will allow doctors to give advice
and provide access to patients’ digital medical records.

"During the pandemic, it is essential to ensure the safety of patients and medical staff, while maintaining continuity of medical care. This has been made possible by remote contact between a doctor and a patient, which is why we have prepared Teleporada that can be used by doctors in hospitals and clinics," said Jan Butkiewicz, Deputy Director of the Sales Division in the Healthcare Division of Asseco Poland.

The launch of the service in a healthcare facility does not require a complicated implementation
and additional expenditures on IT infrastructure. In addition, patients do not have to install any software, they can just access a web browser on a phone or computer. They receive a unique link to a meeting via a text message or e-mail. Thanks to the cooperation between Asseco and the National Cloud Operator, the solution is available as a service in the National Cloud. This ensures the highest level of data security and allows the use of Teleporada from any place, without the need to leave home.

The AMMS package for hospitals additionally includes the following modules: e-Notifications and
e-Confirmations. During the pandemic, most medical facilities also struggle with telephone line overload. Many patients need to be notified of a change in the date or form of their visit. In addition, patients who want to confirm or cancel a previously scheduled consultation also call. Electronic communication and solutions based on automation of information transfer processes come to help in such situations. E-Notifications allow for mass sending of information to patients by text messages or e-mails. They also offer the functionality to send a patient a PIN code for e-Prescription. In turn, E-Confirmations allow a patient to easily confirm or cancel a visit by e-mail or text message, freeing overloaded telephone lines of medical facilities and reducing the number of uncancelled visits.
In the case of the mMedica system used in clinics and doctor’s offices, the package includes the following additional modules: SMS, eArchive, Mobile Applications Integration and eNotifications. The SMS module supports the process of sending SMS messages containing e.g. information about booked visits or codes for ePrescriptions. eArchive facilitates comprehensive collection and effective protection of medical records. The Mobile Applications Integration module allows for two-way exchange of documents between a patient and a doctor with the use of the Mobile Medical Information application. eNotification offers automated communication with a patient through the Medical Information mobile application, which is an alternative to SMS.

The "Patient, #stayathome" packages are available for AMMS and mMedica users. The free license is available until July 31, 2020.
