Asseco Poland to build the "Plac Unii" complex

Asseco Poland's specialists have been commissioned by the general contractor, Warbud construction company, to set up complete electrical installations as well as building automation and management systems at a prestigious facility called "Plac Unii" being constructed in downtown Warsaw.

The Lublin Union Square was built on the initiative of King Stanisław August Poniatowski and, for several centuries, it has been an important communications point on the map of Warsaw. By many Varsovians it is associated with a distinctive Supersam pavilion – Poland's first self-service grocery store. Today it is just being replaced by a newly developed modern office and commercial complex. From among two six-storey buildings will rise a 90-meter-high glass-walled skyscraper, inspired by the architecture of one of the world's first skyscrapers located in New York. It was designed by Prof. Stefan Kuryłowicz's architects studio, which won the prestigious competition organized in collaboration with the Association of Polish Architects. The five-storey podium will feature an atrium hall covered with a glazed roof.

The buildings will house a 15,000 m2 shopping mall and 41,000 m2 of class A+ office space. The total area of the building, including the underground levels, will exceed 100,000 m2.

The complex foundation will feature four underground floors. The three lowest floors will serve as a parking lot for 800 cars. Whereas, the floor just below ground level will host a delicatessen operated by merchants of the Supersam Grocers Cooperative, after years, making their come-back to the Lublin Union Square.

The project investor, called Nowy Plac Unii (a subsidiary company of Liebrecht&Wood Sp z.o.o. and BBI Development NFI SA) contracted Warbud to build the overground part of the building including installations and finishing, in shell & core standard, to perform work for the common part of shopping centers, as well as to complete finishing of the shell of the underground.

The net value of installation work to be performed by Asseco Poland will reach 21.6 million.
