Asseco Poland recognized as the Listed Company of the Year 2009

Asseco Poland has been named the best listed company of the year 2009. The Company took first place on the podium also in the categories of Management Board Competence and Company Development Outlook, while Asseco Slovakia, an Asseco Group company, won the category of Quality Products and Services. The Investor Relations of Asseco Poland ranked second, following those of PKN Orlen.


Asseco Poland was named the "Listed Company of the Year 2009" as it won the main ranking by earning 75.51 points out of 100 points possible. The runners-up were Cinema City International and Wawel which scored 72.73 points and 72.45 points, respectively. The ranking was conducted by Pentor Research International on behalf of Puls Biznesu, a business daily. Pentor made a survey among 180 specialists who influence equity investors' decisions, such as analysts, investment advisors and brokers representing brokerage houses and offices, insurance companies, pension, investment and trust funds, bank treasury departments and consulting companies from all over the country. These professionals evaluated all the listed companies in the following five categories: 

1. Management Board Competence (1st place for Asseco Poland)
2. Quality Products and Services (1st place for Asseco Slovakia, 14th place for Asseco Poland) 
3. Investor Relations (2nd place for Asseco Poland)
4. Company Development Outlook (1st place for Asseco Poland)
5. Success Achieved in 2009 (4th place for Asseco Poland)

 

On the basis of evaluations in these five categories the main listing was formed. The ranking of WSE listed companies has been published for the eleventh time. The Awards Ceremony was held on 8 March in the main hall of the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The honorary patronage of the event was taken by the Treasury Minister, Mr. Aleksander Grad.
