Asseco one of the most important companies for Poland according to the "Rzeczpospolita" daily

Asseco was ranked 3rd in the "Most important companies for Poland" list in the "Non-financial companies" category. It is the only IT company to be included in this ranking. The list was prepared by the "Rzeczpospolita" daily. Its purpose is to distinguish companies of key importance to the Polish economy, and thus to the development of the country.

Asseco is a leader in digitization in Poland and the largest IT company in the Central and Eastern European region. Last year alone, it achieved record revenues of PLN 14.5 billion, up 19 percent from 2020. It started its operations in Rzeszów, as a company producing IT systems for cooperative banks. Today, it employs nearly 32,000 people and develops high-tech software for companies in key sectors of the economy. The Asseco Group companies are listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE), NASDAQ and the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.

Asseco Poland is an IT giant with ambitions to be the largest Polish producer of software for companies in key economic sectors. Since starting its international expansion in 2004, the company has built a strong Group operating in 60 countries around the world, summarized Bogusław Chrabota, editor-in-chief of the Rzeczpospolita daily, who presented the award to Przemysław Sęczkowski, vice president of Asseco International, during the Economic Forum in Karpacz.

In this year's edition of the "Most Important Companies for Poland" ranking, the 250 largest companies whose financial data was publicly available were evaluated. The analytical stage of the competition took into account, among other things, the company's share of Poland's GDP, the ratio of employment to average employment in the economy and the share of taxes in the company's revenues. The second stage involved voting by the ranking's editorial award committee.
