Asseco implements e-Services in 9 hospitals in the Lubelskie Voivodeship

Asseco Poland implements e-services related to patient service and provision of electronic medical documentation in the hospitals in the Lubelskie Voivodeship. The company has won 9 proceedings with a total gross value of over PLN 16.5 million. The informatization of all of the medical facilities in the region will last until the end of this year. So far, the work has been completed in four units: the Lubelskie Oncology Centre, the Independent Public Clinical Hospital No. 4 in Lublin, the Independent Public Health Care Complex in Tomaszów Lubelski and the Independent Public Health Care Institution in Łuków.

Under the agreements, Asseco implements software designed primarily to improve patient registration for appointments, make it easier for patients to check examination results, and provide them with online access to medical records. New e-Services are fully integrated with current solutions operating in hospitals, including Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and ERP for unit management.

The provision of e-Services, such as medical e-Documentation, e-Referrals, e-Leaves, etc. generate specific IT needs in health care units, regardless of the scale of their size. Asseco, as a proven partner in the healthcare sector, conducts intensive activities aimed at assisting the institutions in their informatization and meeting the regulator's expectations. In addition, we participate in pilot projects initiated by the Ministry of Health. This way, we can fully verify the requirements of medical institutions and prepare them to offer digital services, said Krzysztof Groyecki, Vice President of the Management Board of Asseco Poland.

We are in the process of implementing the next stage of hospital digitalization. Our partner and the main contractor of this project is Asseco. The aim of the project is to transfer processes such as patient registration for a medical appointment or preparation of medical history to the electronic sphere. As a result, the time of their implementation will be shortened, which is what our patients expect. What is important, they will gain access to their medical records thanks to the implementation of an integrated system of e-Services. The assumed result of the project is to strengthen the potential of our hospital, as well as its competitiveness. The benefits of the changes will be felt by the residents of Biała Podlaska and the whole area our hospital operates in, said Dariusz Oleński, Director of the Voivodeship Specialist Hospital in Biała Podlaska.

Asseco has been participating in the process of digitalization of medical facilities of large hospitals, smaller clinics and doctor's offices. The driving force behind the increased activity of health care units is, among other things, the possibility of obtaining additional financing from the EU funds. Owing to this, they are able to offer their patients access to e-Services and thereby improve the quality of their service, said Daniel Pastusiak, Deputy Sales Director at Asseco Poland.

All the projects conducted by Asseco are co-financed with the EU funds from the Regional Operational Programme for the Lublin Voivodeship for 2014-2020. The implementation is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2019.
