Asseco Becomes a Certified Partner of Express ELIXIR

Asseco’s software solutions for the banking sector have been successfully certified to support KIR-SRPN instant payments. The National Clearing House (KIR) has certified the def3000/CL – Clearing solution as satisfying the requirements of the Express ELIXIR program.

The instant payment service (KIR-SRPN) is a completely new clearing system used in Poland. It ensures the settlement of payments between a sender and a recipient in a matter of a few tens of seconds. Thanks to the obtaining of KIR’s certification, banking institutions that use the software solutions provided by Asseco Poland can now offer instant payment services to their customers.

“The National Clearing House certification process has been successfully completed by just a few companies in Poland. Unlike other providers, Asseco submitted for testing also the transaction systems it offers. We can guarantee rapid implementation and reliable services to all the banks that choose to deploy def3000/CL – Clearing,” says Sławomir Ziajka, Vice Director of the Commercial Banks Division and Director of the Product Development Department at Asseco Poland S.A.

In the certification process, Asseco’s software successfully passed all the testing scenarios prepared by the National Clearing House. The tests were carried out in the testing environment of KIR S.A. which was connected online with the analyzed software of Asseco. The certification process involved technical parameterization (WebSphere and WebLogic) as well as parameterization of the def3000/CL, def3000/CB and def3000/TR systems according to the requirements of KIR S.A.
The def3000/CL – Clearing system was tested not only for its ability to support instant payments, but also in terms of handling such payments by the related transaction systems: def3000/CB – Core Banking and def3000/TR – Treasury (settlements including transaction processing).

The def3000/CL – Clearing is a Payment Hub class system dedicated to support various types of settlements (SWIFT, SEPA, Target2, Sorbnet 2, and KIR-SRPN). It is built on a three-tier architecture, runs on the Oracle database, utilizes the presentation layer as well as the application layer (JEE technology – WebSphere and WebLogic application servers).
